The Superintendent’s Cottage was built in 1912 and is the sole remaining structure of a former waterfront great estate in Greenwich, CT. It was constructed with 24” thick stone walls, poured concrete floors and red tile roofing. A completely redesigned kitchen, open floor layouts, renovated bathrooms and new mechanicals, windows, doors and fixtures were installed to meet today’s standard of living. A poorly designed garage addition was removed. A new three-car garage was relocated and built using all of the original stone, brick and roof tile materials. Together with new grading and landscaping, the Superintendent’s Cottage has regained its proud status overlooking Long Island Sound.
